RECALL: Some of Gerber's organic baby food recalled over fears of possible spoilage


Gerber is recalling some organic baby food products after finding a defect in the packaging that could cause the food to spoil, the company said.

The recall affects specific batches of two different kinds of organic food pouches that were sold nationwide. Gerber said there are concerns the product could spoil during transportation and handling.

The items affected are: GERBER® Organic 2ND FOODS® Pouches – Pears, Carrots & Peas and two batches of GERBER® Organic 2ND FOODS® Pouches –Carrots, Apples & Mangoes with best by dates of July 12, 2016, July 13, 2016, July 14, 2016.
