RECALL: Mazda recalling every 2014-2016 CX-5 Crossover because of faulty pipe

If you have a Mazda CX-5 crossover in your driveway you may want to bring it into the shop.

A new recall from the Japanese automaker for every 2014-2016 Mazda CX-5 Crossovers because a filler pipe that connects to fuel port to the tank. There is concern that during a rear-end collision the issue could spark a fire.

There have been no reports of any accidents or injuries.

The recall involves nearly 265,000 vehicles. There is also a stop-sale on every unsold CX-5 currently at a dealership.

The fix is not underway, but drivers can use a free loaner or rental car to owners who do not feel comfortable driving the vehicle.

Concerned owners can contact NHTSA at 888-327-4236 or Mazda customer service at 800-222-5500.
