RECALL: Frozen chicken, cheese and bean burritos being pulled off of shelves nationwide


WASHINGTON — The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service has announced that Request Foods Inc. is recalling more than 30,000 pounds of burrito products.

The burritos are being recalled for undeclared allergens in the product including soy and eggs, after a consumer complaint.

The recall products are 6 oz. plastic package containing “ATKINS CHICKEN WITH CHEESE AND BEAN BURRITO” with a “Best By” date of Dec. 19, 2017.

There have been no reports of adverse reactions from consuming the product, but the recall is a Class 1 recall and consumers are asked to throw away the products or return them to the place of purchase.

The affected burritos were sold at retailers nationwide.
