RECALL: Bug Juice Inc. calls back popular children's drink due to risk of metal shavings

CONCORD - Bug Juice International, Inc. has voluntarily recalled their bottled popular children's drink due to the risk of being contaminated with plastic and metal shavings.

According to syracuse.com, 46,406 cases of the drink are included in the recall. The drinks were produced in February 2016 and were distributed nationally.

The products subject to the recall are bottles or cases marked with a "C" (example: 6046 C) and bottle code ending in "OBC" (example: DOB 6046 11:22 OBC).

Possible contamination is believed to have happened in a co-pack facility not owned or operated by Bug Juice during the commercial bottle sorting process.

So far, there have been no reports of illness associated with the recall.
