Applegate Co. has recalled about 9,000 packages of their Applegate Naturals chicken nuggets sold in seven states including Massachusetts.
According to Applegate.com, any chicken nugget packages with a "best before" date of Sept. 27, 2016 might contain small pieces of plastic in them.
The products were distributed to retailers in Georgia, Florida, Indiana, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania and Texas, and customers may return packages for a full refund.
The recall was made after several customers called to report that there were tiny, clear plastic pieces inside the nuggets, and so far there has been no reports of illness or harm.
