Raymond woman uses truck as rolling ad to find kidney for friend

RAYMOND - Searching for a kidney donor, one mile at a time. Regina Naydeau of Raymond is trying to help Don Hall. He needs four hour long dialysis treatments three times a week just to stay alive. The former Massachusetts police officer posted his story on Facebook.

Don said, "Lo and behold, I said do I know a Regina Nadeau."

Regina had no idea the person she was reaching out to on Facebook was actually a former classmate 43 years ago. Regina said, "I checked my yearbook and he was in there, and I was like, oh my."

The two teamed up. Determined to find Don a kidney donor, Regina resorted to turning her truck into a mobile advertisement. The sign is grabbing the attention of others on the road and online.

Regina said, "Our shares on Facebook have gone up to about 9,000 shares. I've had over 400 phone calls. I have three people I know that are actually going through the donation process."

But so far, no matches for Don.

When asked if he has faith they are going to find a match, Don said, "Hopefully, but if I don't and somebody else gets a kidney by supporting us and opening the doors and the windows for us, I would be happy."
