Raymond's Tuckaway Tavern & Butchery may open new location at iconic Hilltop Steakhouse site

RAYMOND - Many are questioning why the Tuckaway Tavern & Butchery posted the famous Hilltop Steak House sign and wrote “Breaking Some Ground on Some Groundbreaking News,” on their Facebook page, according to Boston.com.

The New Hampshire steak house apparently has it's eye on the Saugus piece of land, where Hilltop Steak House was until it permanently closed in 2013.

And fans of the Tuckaway Tavern are thrilled - hoping the restaurant is going to expand.

Tuckaway says it has its eye on a prime piece of Massachusetts real estate - one with a giant cactus out front, but no deal is currently in place.

Tuckaway’s general manager and executive chef, Bobby Marcotte, told Boston.com that the restaurant is prepared to expand, and that it sees the Route 1 spot as an ideal location.

With no permanent plans just yet, the positive feedback from their customers is a great sign for the steak house.

If these plans do move forward, Tuckaway Tavern plans to keep the iconic cactus as part of the new restaurant.
