Raymond family whose 3 dogs died in fire speaks out after arson arrest
RAYMOND - Richard Anzalone can't even say their names without tearing up.
Raven, Owen and Baron were his three dogs until about four months ago when they were killed in a house fire.
"Never entered my mind that something like this could possibly happen. To leave in the morning and have nothing when you get back," Anzalone said.
Authorities say the fire was intentionally set, and they arrested Gregory Bruno on Tuesday, who lives just down the street from Anzalone, and charged him with arson and animal cruelty.
"A lot of difficulty letting the Raymond police do their job," Anzalone said.
When asked about the arrest he says he believe the police arrested the right guy.
Neighbors are relieved too.
"Now we can sleep at night. It's not just them that everybody's worried about it's everybody around you know," neighbor Kathy Carlino said.
The Anzalones are rebuilding their home and staying nearby in the meantime.
They've also added a Winston, a yorkie, to the family.
"New dog is good," Anzalone said. "He's not the old dog but he's the first one in."
