Ramp closed after tractor trailer loses load of lumber, spills fuel on I-89 in Hopkinton

HOPKINTON - A tractor trailer lost its load of lumber and nearly 100 gallons of fuel after rolling over on Interstate 89 on Tuesday morning.

Exit 5 on I-89 southbound was closed as police investigated and cleaned up the scene.

The tractor trailer rolled over at about 9:30 a.m.

The driver, 29-year-old Jean Sarrasin of Quebec, employed by Fidele Tremblay Transport Inc., was uninjured, but excessive speed is believed to cause the accident, according to police.
