Quebec construction holiday could cause border traffic

The Associated Press

HIGHGATE, Vt. — Anyone in New Hampshire heading to Canada on vacation for the next two weeks may face longer delays along the border with Quebec.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is advising drivers that there could be increased traffic at the U.S. border with Quebec during the province's two-week construction holiday.

Many Quebec residents, including those outside of the construction industry, take vacation between July 20 and Aug. 2.

Officials say more people on the road could cause traffic delays at the border.
