Quaker recalling quinoa granola bars for possible Listeria contamination
The Quaker Oats Company is recalling some of their Quaker Quinoa Granola Bars that are sold throughout the U.S. due to the possibility of Listeria risk.
There have been no illnesses to date.
The company said that an ingredient supplier distributed sunflower kernels that may have been contaminated which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, elderly people, and those with a weak immune system.
The recall covers Quaker Quinoa Granola Bars Chocolate Nut Medley and Quaker Quinoa Granola Bars Yogurt, Fruit & Nut Medley.
