President Obama urges Americans to go about 'normal' holiday weekend but remain vigilant

WASHINGTON, D.C. - President Barack Obama assured the American people that there are no current, viable threats to the country's national security at this time.

A day after President Obama met with France's President Francois Hollande, Obama said the United States and France will be allies in efforts to bring down ISIS.

President Obama said the U.S. military and U.S. Homeland Security are working nonstop to protect Americans, especially during the upcoming holiday season.

In addition to air raid, efforts are underway to choke off the financing for the Islamic terrorists and to block their recruitment efforts, Obama said.

The President said troops are working to upgrade both aviation and border security to protect the nation.

"I want the American people to know all levels are working together to monitor threats at home and abroad," he said.

President Obama also urged the American people to remain vigilante while traveling and if you see something, to say something.
