Portsmouth restaurants offer help to victims affected by bar blaze

PORTSMOUTH — Bars and eateries in the downtown area are rallying together to help employees and tenants of the recently burned-down buildings in Portsmouth.

For the month of April the Portsmouth Brewery and BRGR BAR are offering free meals to victims of a fire that caused the State Street Saloon building and two others to collapse early Monday morning.

The Clipper Tavern is also donating a portion of their sales to a GoFundMe for victims of the fire.

The N.H. Works Rapid Response program is also holding an informational presentation at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Great Bay Community College in Portsmouth to inform victims of the blaze about resources to help them get back to work.
