Portsmouth recovery leader invited to White House to discuss opioid crisis funding
PORTSMOUTH — A Portsmouth recovery leader was invited to the White House for a national forum about funding for the opiate crisis.
Sandi Coyle, the executive director of Safe Harbor Recovery Center, flew to Washington, D.C. for a Thursday meeting with the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy, Seacoastonline reported.
Invited guests were scheduled to discuss the Pay For Success model as a possibility for combating opioid addiction and deaths across the country, which ties funding with outcomes as opposed to the number of participants.
