Portsmouth Police search for vehicle after Market Basket robbery


PORTSMOUTH - Portsmouth Police are asking for the public's help with information about an armed robbery at Market Basket. It happened on the night of Feb. 2, during a snow storm.

Police said a vehicle was seen leaving the southern entrance of the Market Basket parking lot at a high rate of speed immediately after the armed robbery. It is believed that the vehicle exited the area on to Lafayette Road. The vehicle is believed to be a Dodge Charger between the model years of 2005 to 2011. The color of the vehicle is classified as "Inferno Red" by Dodge which is in fact maroon. The suspect should still be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information that can assist in locating the suspect is asked to contact Detective Timothy McCain at (603) 610-7513.
