Portsmouth K9 officer gets very own bulletproof patrol vest

PORTSMOUTH – A Portsmouth top dog has received a new bullet and stab protective vest thanks to one non-profit organization.

Max, one of the Portsmouth Police Department’s K9 officers, got the vest from Vested Interest in K9s Inc., an organization aimed at protecting K9 officers.

The Portsmouth Police Department posted a photo to its Facebook page of Max in his new vest - ready to patrol the city.

Vested Interest in K9s sells tank tops in online in order to raise the $950 that each dog vest costs.
