Popular brand of grated cheese recalled for possible salmonella contamination

A popular brand of grated cheese is being recalled due to a possible salmonella contamination.

A New York-based 4C Foods Corp. has issued a nationwide recall of several varieties of 4C Grated Cheese, Homestyle Grated Cheese and Cento Grated Cheese Brands.

The company said the cheese may be contaminated with salmonella. The recall was issued Wednesday after lab tests revealed possible salmonella contamination.

No illnesses have been reported at this time.
