There are quite a few people that you already know are from New Hampshire including Seth Meyers, Sarah Silverman and Bode Miller.
They are the obvious ones from television and movies, but there are some that are a little more obscure. Here are five that flew a little more under the radar than the average celebrities (and one that flew way above the radar).
Brown is an author best known for the 2003 best seller “The Davinci Code” which was adapted for the Silver Screen. He was born in 1964, hailing from the town of Exeter.
Ronnie James Dio
Dio was born in Portsmouth in 1942. Ronald James Padavona changed his name to Dio when he hit the big time. The Heavy Metal singer and songwriter was in bands such as his own band Dio as well as Black Sabbath, Rainbow, Tenacious D and others. He died in 2010 in Los Angeles.

Earl Silas Tupper
This man is responsible for keeping your leftovers fresh and delicious! Born in 1907 in Berlin, he died in 1983. He invented Tupperware while working for Dupont, eventually founding the Tupperware Plastics Co. We all have had his products at one time or another.
Alan B. Shepard Jr.
You may have already known he was born in Derry back in 1923. Absolutely the most accomplished man on the list: naval aviator, test pilot, flag officer and one of NASA’s original Mercury Astronauts. He became the first man to orbit the Earth. The Derry Police uniform shoulder patches pay tribute, depicting his capsule “Freedom 7."
