Police: Woman attempts two knife-point robberies in Manchester

NH1.com

A woman called the clerk of the 7-Eleven on Queen City Avenue in Manchester over for help, then pulled a knife out and demanded cash on Sunday afternoon.

Police say Alyssa Abbott, 27 of Raymond, committed the robbery, but dropped the knife after receiving the cash. She was detained by the clerk and customer.

While police were investigating this case, they got a call from an 83-year-old woman who said she was robbed by a female who matched Abbot's description about 25 minutes before the 7-Eleven.

Abbot asked to use the woman's cell phone, but when the victim said her cell phone did not work, Abbot pulled a knife and tried to steal the victim's wallet. The victim kicked and pushed the suspect until she left the area in a dark colored vehicle.

Police say Abbot confessed to the Hanover Hill robbery.
