Police: Teen sold explicit photos of minors to fellow Exeter High students
EXETER - Police arrested a juvenile in a sexting case at Exeter High School.
Police arrested a 15-year-old student, of Exeter, and charged him with a felony count of distribution of child sexual abuse images. Police made the arrest on Wednesday.
Police said the arrest stems from an investigation into the October 30, 2014 school staff discovery that a juvenile male student at Exeter High School was allegedly selling explicit photos of underage female classmates to others.
Investigators said the student's iPad was seized and a search warrant was executed. Working along with Hampton Police Detective Chris Gilroy, who is assigned to the New Hampshire Crimes Against Children Task Force, a forensic examination of the iPad was performed. This forensic report provided Investigators with further information on the case which subsequently resulted in the application of an arrest warrant for the juvenile.
The juvenile turned himself in on the arrest warrant and was released to a parent. He will receive a petition to appear in Exeter District Juvenile Court at a later date.
School officials declined to comment on whether the teen still attends Exeter High School.
