Police: Teen mom, grandmother overdose on heroin with baby nearby

WARREN, Ohio – A mother and grandmother have been charged with endangering a child after they overdosed with a baby nearby.

WKBN reports that Tonya Foster,19 , and her mother, Tammy Foster, 48, plead not guilty to the charges Thursday in court.

Police said a woman that the Fosters were living with called 911 on March 31 after finding Tammy foaming at the mouth and Tonya snoring. Both were unconscious on the floor with shallow breathing and blue lips, the woman told 911. The 9-month-old boy was nearby in a Pack 'n Play.

Police said the women snorted heroin in a bathroom at the home, and it took several doses of naloxone to revive them.

The child is now with other family members, police said.
