Police stop driver in Concord wanted in Florida as a fugitive from justice


CONCORD - State police who stopped a driver for speeding on Interstate 93 say they discovered she was wanted in Florida on felony fraud charges.

Police stopped Audrey McLeod, 43, of Quincy, Mass. on Saturday around 7:30 a.m. Once they learned about the warrants out of Florida, for charges dating back to 1999, she was arrested and brought to the Merrimack County jail where she is being held as a fugitive from justice.

Police say she declined the services of a bail commissioner and is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday in Concord District Court.
