Police: Shoplifter arrested at Walmart for hitting employee, refusing to cooperate

LEBANON - Police showed up at Walmart after getting reports that a shoplifter hit an employee Tuesday.

Ashley McKinney, 30 of Lebanon was detained by Walmart Loss Prevention after she tried to steal an entertainment center from the store.

Once employees asked McKinney to put back the stolen item, she allegedly refused and hit one of the employees trying to break away.

McKinney was arrested and charged her with robbery - a Class B felony.

She has been released on a $2,500 personal recognizance with a court date set for May 9.
