Police searching for man who tried to rob 7-Eleven clerk with knife in Manchester


MANCHESTER— Police are searching for a man who brandished a box cutter knife at a 7-Eleven, demanding cash from the register.

One of the 7-Eleven clerks saw the robbery occurring and picked up a pizza cutter, causing the suspect to flee the store.

The attempted robbery happened around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday morning on Maple Street in Manchester.

The suspect is described as 5' 7", 140 pounds, with light facial hair. He was last seen wearing a red baseball hat, blue jeans, and a dark colored long sleeved shirt.

The clerk described an unknown dime sized tattoo on the man’s right hand. It was located between his index finger and his thumb.
