LITTLETON — Police responded to a Circle K/Irving gas station for the report of an armed robbery early Friday morning.
When officers arrived to the gas station on Cottage Street, the attendant reported that a few moments earlier, a Caucasian man entered the store and ordered her to get money from the cash register, police said.
According to surveillance footage, the suspect appeared to be wearing a dark grey sweatshirt, a black full faced ski mask, sun glasses, black gloves, blue jeans, and brandishing an edged weapon. The attendant described him as approximately 5-feet--inches to 5-feet-10-inches tall with a thin build.
After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled on foot and was last seen walking north from Circle K towards Herbert Lane, police said.
The employee was not injured during the incident.
While unable to find the suspect, responding Littleton officers collected evidence from the scene.
"I feel confident that the officers will piece together the evidence and bring the person responsible to justice," Chief Paul J. Smith said. "I do not believe there is an immediate risk to the public. However, based on the suspect's actions during the robbery he is considered armed and dangerous. Contact law enforcement if you observe this individual and do not approach him."
