Police: Search of Tilton home finds drugs for second time in just over a month

TILTON - For the second time in just over a month, police say they found illegal drugs at 21 Chestnut St.

Police say they seized numerous bindles of heroin and methamphetamine during Tuesday's raid and arrested the resident, Kristine Patten, 44.

Patten was charged with illegal sales of controlled substances and is being held at the Belknap County jail. She was recently indicted in Superior Court for illegal drug sales in connection with a prior search on Feb. 18, police said.

The arrest came as part of an ongoing effort to address illegal drug sales in the community.

Last week, police received information about possible drug sales at 1G Georges Way, where minors were present and obtained a search warrant. On March 24, police say they searched the home, finding drugs that tested positive for methamphetamine, along with methamphetamine pills, marijuana and digital scales.

Sarah E. Soule, 37, of 1G Georges Way, was charged her with possessing a controlled substance. She was released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to appear on Franklin District Court on May 16.

Police say both investigations are on-going and anyone with information about these cases can contact the Tilton Police Detectives at 603-286-8207 X 207.
