Police search for suspect after car hits 11-year-old pedestrian in hit-and-run


LACONIA — A red 4-door sedan struck an 11-year-old pedestrian and then fled the scene while backing out of a Cumberland Farms parking lot in Laconia, according to police.

The vehicle was occupied by a male driver and a female passenger. The female passenger could allegedly be heard saying "stop" as the car drove away from the scene.

Video footage is being obtained from a camera positioned directly over the crash as Laconia police try to locate the vehicle and occupants.

The pedestrian was treated at the scene by the Laconia Fire Department.

The crash occurred on Sunday at about 10:19 p.m.
