CONCORD — Police are looking for a man who crashed his car and ran away on foot after he fled from an officer who stopped him on I-93 in Northfield on Monday morning.

Jacob A. Jason, 29 of Pembroke, drove south on I-93 in his 2005 Volkswagon Golf after police stopped him for a violation, reports say.

Police chased Jason and deployed stop sticks on I-93 near Exit 16. Jason allegedly drove over these, and the chase was cut short as he entered the greater Concord area on I-93.

Police say Jason crashed his vehicle after trying to take the Exit 13 off-ramp, and ran from the crash on foot.

Officers continue to search for Jason- but have said they do not believe there is danger to the public.

You are asked to contact Lieutenant Liebl at (603) 271-3636 with any information.
