Police search for missing New England teen

FORT FAIRFIELD, Maine — Police are searching for 16-year-old Tyana McLaughlin who went missing on Thursday.

McLaughlin was last seen leaving her residence in Fort Fairfield on Thursday at about 4:30 p.m., police said. Her mother, Nicole Leseure, reported having brief phone contact with her that evening, but has been unable to talk with her since that time.

With concern for McLaughlin's well-being, officers have gathered information and are following up on leads once again.

It is believed that McLaughlin is still in the area, possibly hiding out in Washburn or Caribou, Maine.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to contact the Fort Fairfield Police Department at 207-472-3808.
