Police search for dog of Salem drug suspect caught with 20 pounds of marijuana


SALEM - Police and animal control officers are looking for a German Shepherd dog that escaped from the Red Roof Inn Tuesday in Salem when its owner was being arrested on drug charges.

The dog, named Max, was last seen along I-93 near Windham.

He is reported to be “skittish” and afraid of people.

If you see the dog, please call Salem Police at 893-1911, but do not try to corner or approach it.
