Police say man tried to get a NH driver's license with false documents

NASHUA - State police have arrested a man they say tried to get a N.H. driver's license using false documents.

Police say they are still trying to confirm the identity of the man, who gave his name as Jaunibal Otero Laureano, 26, of Woonsocket, Rhode Island.

Police say they were notified Friday by the staff at the state Division of Motor Vehicles office in Nashua that Otero Laureano was trying to get a license using false documents. At the time, he had active warrants out for his arrest. State police notified Nashua police, who arrested him without incident.

Otero Laureano allegedly got a NH driver's license in 2010, but a subsequent investigation found he did not live at the address he claimed on his license application.

Police previously arrested and charged another man, from Lawrence, Mass. who identified himself as Andres Huertas Ortiz, age 35, with using fraudulent documents to get a N.H. driver's license. In total, state police report arresting seven people at the Division of Motor Vehicles on suspicion they were trying to get identification using fraudulent documents since March 9.
