Police say man planned heroin deal at a NH Family Dollar store, is met by undercover officers
PELHAM — Police arrested a Massachusetts man Tuesday after they received a tip he was about to make a heroin deal inside a local discount store.
Police say detectives learned about 4:00 p.m. Tuesday that William Luna, 44, of Lowell, Mass., would be attempting to sell heroin at the Family Dollar store at 99 Bridge Street, Pelham. When Luna entered the store he was met by undercover officers who arrested him without incident.
Luna was charged with felony possession of heroin with the intent to sell. Luna's car and cell phone are being held by police who are waiting for a search warrant.
The suspected heroin found on Luna was sent to a forensics lab to be tested for fentanyl.
Luna is scheduled to be arraigned this morning in Salem, New Hampshire, district court.
