Police: Rochester man hit bicyclist and fled, also charged with illegal gun possession


ROCHESTER - A man accused of a hit-and-run on a bicyclist on Rochester Neck Road and Gonic Road had an unlicensed loaded handgun when police caught up to him, officials said.

Police say Stephen Clough of Gonic left a cyclist with minor bruising on his leg after striking him while driving his 2004 Chrysler Seabring.

Clough's car was left with damage no its front bumper.

Clough was charged with having a dangerous weapon, and conduct after an accident.

He was bailed on $1000 cash, and has a court date of Jan. 20.
