DOVER - Police in the Garrison City released video Tuesday of a man who was coldcocked outside a Dover bar in the hopes that they will catch his attacker.
Lt. David Martinelli said Nathan Jones, 33, of Somersworth, was sitting on the front steps of Dover Brick House when a man randonly walked up to him, started a conversation, and then sucker punched Jones.
The incident happened on April 2, Martinelli said. Since that time, police have not been able to identify who committed the assault, which is considered a second-degree felony.
Jones was taken to the hospital, where his broken jaw was wired shut, according to a gofundme.com page created to raise money for him.
The page promotes an upcoming fundraiser at the Brick House, featuring Reverend Todd Seely, on April 16.
During the event, a silent auction will be held to help Jones, who is self-employed and has no health insurance, the webpage says.
Anyone with information about the attack is encouranged to call Dover police at 742-4646.
