Police recover guns stolen in home burglary in Northumberland

NORTHUMBERLAND - Police recovered several guns and a safe stolen from a home during a burglary, along with drugs, paraphernalia, and a hammer believed to have been used in the crime.

The home was burglarized April 19 and stolen items included several rifles, a shotgun, a .22-caliber pistol, as well as a safe containing a passport, jewelry, and money.

After several days of investigation, police identified suspects and a search warrant was executed at 370 Champlain St. in Berlin. During the search, police recovered many of the items stolen in the Northumberland burglary and also found marijuana, prescription pills, and a needle. Police recovered a hammer believed to have been used in the burglary.

State Police are continuing their investigation and no arrests have yet been made.
