Police: Raymond man arrested after showing up to court drunk

CANDIA - A Raymond man was arrested at the Candia Circuit Court after showing up to the courthouse intoxicated, according to the Union Leader.

Michael Decotic, 47, arrived in court on a drunken driving charge last week when Candia Police Sgt. Scott Gallagher could immediately tell he was intoxicated.

“I entered the court and made contact with Michael. I could immediately smell the strong odor of alcohol coming from his breath," said Gallagher in an affidavit. "His speech was slurred and he appeared to be dazed."

Decotic was charged with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated.

Bail in the DWI case was set at $1,000 personal recognize with conditions that include abstinence from alcohol and regulated drug use and no operation of a vehicle unless authorized.
