Police officer stuck with dirty hypodermic needle during traffic stop in Hanover
HANOVER— A Lebanon police officer was stuck with a used, dirty and uncapped hypodermic needle while assisting with a traffic stop in Hanover at about 6:20 a.m. Friday morning.
Police said the needle stuck him as he was looking through the car's center console.
The two men in the car were arrested, but the Hanover Police Department has not released their names or specified charges as of 2 p.m. Friday afternoon.
Authorities say the officer - who was not named by the department – was taken to the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center where he was treated and released.
