Police: NH woman tried to rob man in wheelchair after he refused sexual favors
MANCHESTER — A woman was arrested after police said she tried to rob a man in a wheelchair after he declined sexual favors from her.
Manchester police said around 11:45 a.m. they responded to the Lincoln Street Plaza for a report of a robbery involving a man in a wheelchair.
Police said the victim told them an unknown woman approached him and offered him sexual favors for cash. After he refused and told her to go away, the victim said the woman ripped a gold chain from his neck and attempted to run away.
The victim grabbed her arm and yelled for help, causing a number of good Samaritans to come to his aid and detain the woman until police arrived.
Police said they eventually identified the suspect as Michelle Milardo, 50, of Concord, after she had provided several false names.
Police said they were able to locate the man's gold chain and three out of the four gold charms attached to it.
Milardo was charged with robbery and violation of bail conditions stemming from a May arrest. She is scheduled to appear in Manchester district court Friday.
