Police: NH woman scares possible intruder off with scream
HOOKSETT — A woman called police after finding a man staring back at her through a glass door on her deck.
According to police, around 9:53 p.m. reports came in of an intruder in the area of 1214 Smyth Rd.
The home-owner told police that the man climbed over a child gate and was standing next to her sliding glass door when her scream scared him off.
Officers located Nicholas Acevedo, 26 of Manchester, around 10:15 p.m. in a patch of woods on Golden Gate Drive.
When police asked Acevedo why he was at the residence, the suspect had no answer, police said.
He allegedly admitted to officers that he was at the home and was subsequently arrested for loitering and prowling and criminal trespass.
Acevedo is scheduled to appear at the 6th Circuit Court Hooksett on Aug. 2.
