Police: NH teen driving drunk crashes into utility pole, tangles car in wires

MANCHESTER — A 19-year-old woman was charged with driving under the influence after police she crashed into a utility pole.

The Manchester teen, crashed her 2013 Nissan Rogue into a utility pole in front of 526 Hanover St. on Tuesday at about 5:15 a.m. The front end of the vehicle was suspended in the air and tangled within the utility wires.

Manchester Fire Department Rescue removed her from the vehicle. She was conscious and alert, according to police, and was transported to Elliot Hospital. She displayed signs of impairment and admitted to consuming alcohol prior to driving, police said.

She was charged with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol and is set to appear in court.
