Police: NH mom called daughter 'piece of (expletive)' while holding loaded gun to her head
MANCHESTER — A Pembroke mother held a loaded gun to her daughter's head and shouted "You (expletive) piece of (expletive)," according to court paperwork.
Evamarie Kousios, 50, has been charged with criminal threatening and felonious use of a firearm, both felonies.
Twenty-six-year-old Kayleigh Kousios told police the argument started during a phone call and text messages and escalated when her mother showed up at her Manchester apartment.
Police responded to 370 Hanover St., Apt. 4, shortly after 11:30 p.m. Thursday for a report of a domestic incident involving a threat with a gun.
According to court paperwork, Evamarie Kousios had arrived at the apartment "intoxicated and agitated" a half hour earlier. During that time, she asked to speak with her daughter in a bedroom while Kayleigh Kousios was getting dress.
In the bedroom, Kayleigh Kousios watched her mother pull out a black case from her jacket and then removed a semi-automatic Sig Sauer P250, according to court documents.
Evamarie Kousios then pointed it at Kayleigh Kousios's head and yelled "You (expletive) piece of (expletive). Tell everyone to (expletive) leave," according to court documents.
Kayleigh Kousios's aunt and a friend also were at the apartment at time of the incident.
Kousios tried to exit the bedroom while telling her mother to put away the gun before she and her aunt tackled Evamarie Kousios and took the gun from her, according to the documents.
Evamarie Kousios then left the apartment in a Red Ford Escape and New Hampshire State Police found her and arrested her.
Kousios was arraigned in Manchester district court on Friday. She is being held on $5,000 personal recognizance bail.
