Police: NH man suspected to be drunk while driving 114 mph in Vermont
THETFORD Vt. — A New Hampshire man was allegedly under the influence when police stopped him doing 114 mph in a 65 mph zone.
Sean Columbia, 24, of Lebanon, was driving on Interstate 91 north in Fairlee, Vermont, where he was reportedly going 49 mph over the speed limit, police said.
Troopers say that once they caught up to Columbia, it was determined that he was under the influence.
Columbia is scheduled to appear in court June 14, facing DUI refusal, gross negligent operation and reckless endangerment charges.
Vermont State Troopers say they also issued Columbia tickets for speeding and open containers.
