Police: NH man flees scene of crash while drunk; other driver seriously injured

HAMPTON — A 22-year-old man has been arrested after he allegedly fled on foot after colliding with another car while under the influence on Sunday at about 6:20 p.m.

Colby Cameron, of Epping, is being charged with a DWI, conduct after an accident, and operating after suspension. All of these charges are felonies.

Police responded to the area of Ashworth Avenue and Bragg Avenue for a report of an accident. When they arrived, a woman was found at the scene and had sustained serious bodily injuries. No other injuries were reported.

Police alleged that Cameron had fled on foot after the crash. Shortly after, officers found Cameron.

Further investigations revealed that Cameron's driver's license was suspended and he was determined to be drunk. He also was out on probation for an unrelated offense out of Salem.

Bail was set at $15,000 cash and he is scheduled to appear at the Seabrook District Court on September 13 at 1 p.m.

This incident remains under investigation by the Hampton Police Department. Anyone with information on incidents occurring in the Town of Hampton is urged to contact the Hampton Police Department at 603-929-4444.
