Police: NH man flees in truck after hitting utility pole in Hudson

HUDSON — Police reported to a single car hit-and-run with a utility pole on Wednesday evening at about 5:50 p.m.

Police say that Mark Hurd, 44 of Hudson, was traveling north on Derry Street when he veered off the road and hit a utility pole in his Ford F-350.

Hurd then fled the scene of the accident. Witnesses reported his license plate.

Hurd was arrested for operating without a valid license and conduct after an accident, both misdemeanors.

A low hanging wire fell onto another car, but there were no injuries or damage.

He was held on $1,500 bail and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 8.
