Police: NH man arrested for assaulting victim, slashing throat with knife
HAMPTON — Hampton police arrested a man after receiving report he assaulted a victim with a knife Monday evening.
Officers responded to a call at 9 Cole St. for an alleged assault that had occurred on May 15 around 5:45 p.m. At the scene, police identified the suspect as Armand Hennis, 49, of Hampton, who had slashed a victim's throat using a knife, police said.
Emergency officials treated the victim at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Hennis was arrested on scene for first-degree assault for using a deadly weapon to inflict bodily harm, police said.
Hennis was arraigned Tuesday and a probable cause hearing is scheduled at Seabrook district court May 25 at 1 p.m.
