MERRIMACK — An officer allegedly found drugs on two New Hampshire residents after receiving a complaint about a possible impaired driver.
The Merrimack Police Department received the complaint about the driver in the area of Whitney Street Tuesday at 11:45 p.m.
An officer located the car described as a black Nissan Sentra and allegedly observed lane control issues.
The officer spoke with the driver, Paige Noton, 22 of 62 Jessica Dr. in Merrimack, who displayed signs of impairment, police said. The officer placed Noton under arrest for operating under the influence. Police also allegedly found a small amount of hash oil on Noton, leading to a possession of drugs charge.
The passenger in the car, Austin Hogan, 26 of 6 Milford St. in Nashua, was found with a prescription bottle with no label, police said. The bottle allegedly contained controlled drugs not prescribed to Hogan. Police placed Hogan under arrest for possession of a prescription drug.
Noton was released on $1,500 personal recognizance bail with an arraignment date on July 27, and Hogan was released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail with an arraignment scheduled for Aug. 3.
