Police: Nashua man facing drug charges for distributing heroin and crack cocaine

NASHUA - Police arrested a man on a warrant after an ongoing investigation showed that he had been selling heroin and crack cocaine.

Omar Lavaud Lewis, 36 of Rochester was pulled over by police Friday when he was arrested and found to be in possession of heroin at the time.

The pull over led to the officer's discovery of Lewis's warrant where he is now facing multiple charges of three counts of the sale of a controlled drug (heroin) - a Class B felony, two counts of the sale of a controlled drug (crack cocaine) - a Class B felony, the possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute - a Class B felony, an enhanced penalty for possessing an excess of more than 5 grams, falsifying physical evidence - a Class A felony, habitual offender - a Class A felony, two counts of resisting arrest - a misdemeanor and disobeying an officer - a misdemeanor.

Lewis is being held on $100,000 cash or surety bail and was scheduled to be arraigned Friday.
