Police: Nashua man charged for sexually assaulting an 'acquaintance'


NASHUA - A man was arrested and charged with felonious sexual assault, Sunday night.

Officers responded to Lowell General Hospital at around 3 p.m. where they met a female who reported she was sexually assaulted at a residence in Nashua.

The suspect was identified as Edward Maselli, who is an acquaintance of the victim. Maselli was later located and, during the arrest, ran away from officers and pulled his hands away during handcuffing.

Bail was set at $5,000 cash for Maselli. He was scheduled to be arraigned Monday, and faces up to 15 years in prison.
