Police: Nashua man broke into apartment, assaulted 2 people he knew


NASHUA - Police arrested a man who they say broke into an apartment and assaulted two people he knew on Thursday.

Police responded to reports a burglary at a downtown apartment just before 2 p.m.

Dennis Higgins Sr., 50 of Nashua, was arrested and charged with burglary, three counts of simple assault, and two counts of breach of bail.

Higgins could face up to 15 years for the simple assault charge. He is being held on $50,000 bail, and will be arraigned Friday.
