Police: Nashua man, 72, fondled disabled woman at Hollis facility

NASHUA - A Nashua man is facing charges for fondling a disabled woman at a Hollis facility in December.

Charles Bureau, 72, was arrested on Wednesday after allegedly touching the woman, knowing her disability prevented her from refusing.

Bureau worked at Independent Services Network at the time but has since been fired.

He is being charged with two counts of misdemeanor sexual assault and will be arraigned on March 2.

The facility released the following statement about his arrest.

“Independent Services Network was shocked and saddened about Mr. Bureau’s behavior. He was immediately removed from our facility and terminated. We immediately reported the incident to the state Bureau of Elderly and Adult Services and our client’s guardian. ISN’s highest priority is the safety and well-being of those we serve. We recognize the serious nature of this situation and we are providing full cooperation with law enforcement and state agencies involved. This was an isolated situation."
